Long time no post! I know I say the same thing each time I take a break. But, I really needed one. I've had so much going on and so many thoughts that I needed to put together before I continued on the blog. I've been putting together plans on where I want this blog to go and how I want to expand on what we've done so far. Also, if you know me personally, I've been dealing with a difficult injury, but that's all for another post. I have a few special projects that will be coming your way soon and I'm really excited to push them your way. I'm back, and I'm back full force.
It's almost winter, and I enjoyed this year's fall trends! Fall 2014 was the season of trends. In this post, I will be listing some trends and some essentials for the season and the cold time continues. I also wanted to include laying in this post instead of making a whole separate post, so make sure to read!
The Camel/Wool Coat
If you don't know about the Camel Coat/ Wool Coat trend, then I don't where you've been during this fall season! This is my chosen fall trends of the year. I recently purchased mine, which will be featured soon, and I have to stop myself from over wearing it. It's so great, that I have yet to find a simple black coat that I would enjoy for the upcoming seasons. I prefer the button version to the belts because I prefer the simpler things when it comes to statement pieces in this type of color. You can literally find a similar coat anywhere. The "go to" location is Zara, but believe me there are other locations.
The Turtleneck (with slit)
It's disappointing because I haven't purchased mine yet! I went to order this one from H&M and it was, and still is, sold out. I went to the store and they didn't have this color in stock. Anyway, this piece is iconic. The turtleneck finally come back. I've seen so many different bloggers style it so many different ways and I've been so inspired to do something special with this piece once I get my hands on it.
My personal favorite is style with distressed denim and oxfords. Blog goals soon!
The "Chelsea" boots. Coincidence? *laughs*
The Chelsea boots were expected as a fall trend and it happened. I actually bulled these out once or twice during the summer and they worked perfectly, but that's for another post. They have definitely serve their purpose in my closet. They are my go to on! They literally can be worn with anything. The real question is what can Chelsea Boots not be worn with? I prefer the matte black to the shinny leather because of the simplicity look it gives off. I'm planning a post featuring mine from Asos. These boots are great because you can always find them in your price range, whether you're ready to spend $3,000 or $30.
The "Over the Knee" boots
I couldn't wait for boots weather. Styling is easier during the colder seasons. I wanted to try something new and not purchase black boots so quickly. Instead, I went for a brown. I didn't like that I had to buy brown at all! But, it's part of the change and exploring process. I learned that to become more educated in fashion, you have to expand and try new things. I recently purchased some boots from Nine West and I love them. They're brown, but the detail is black. Everything is going to be featured on the blog soon, so just wait on it. Great to style with anything, it's just how you decide to put it together.
